About Bob

Bio

I have been interested in science since I was very young. This interest led me to pursue a degree in Mathematics. After getting my B.S. in Math, I entered a graduate degree program in Physics. I taught Physics labs and also assisted my advisor with his research that was published in The Astrophysical Journal. Eventually I left that program and became an Actuary, which require many addition years of study.

During my undergraduate years I worked as the lead tutor in the university Math Lab....

I have been interested in science since I was very young. This interest led me to pursue a degree in Mathematics. After getting my B.S. in Math, I entered a graduate degree program in Physics. I taught Physics labs and also assisted my advisor with his research that was published in The Astrophysical Journal. Eventually I left that program and became an Actuary, which require many addition years of study.

During my undergraduate years I worked as the lead tutor in the university Math Lab. My patient style along with my enthusiasm helped many college students achieve their goals. For the past 7 years I have been tutoring in Lake County Illinois. My students here have very well. I look forward to help you to do the same!

Being familiar with the subject is essential. Equally essential is understanding where students get stuck. A great tutor will be able to see where the student is having difficulty and be able to guide them through the problems. A great tutor will also provide encouragement and help the student build confidence. Being able to do these things make me a great tutor.

Knowledgeable, flexible, and patient

Bob has lots of knowledge in the subject I am currently studying and does a really good job of taking complex problems and simplifying them. He is also very open to listening to my questions and spending lots of time on just one problem to make sure I understand every part of it.
