Hello! My name is James, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Film and I'm a former owner of TopDown Films.

I got into film because I love storytelling and I was fascinated with the movie making process. I believe film is one of the greatest forms of art because it encompasses every other form of art within it. After my first class in college I knew instantly I wanted to be apart of this powerful platform to move hearts and minds alike.

Now, having had experience in just about every type of production (narrative, documentary, commercial, music video, weddings, etc) I know first hand how rewarding video production can be. From a practical standpoint, It's never been more relevant than now to have this as a skill set, but more so, video production has an enormous artistic creative and expressive component which is where passion develops and thrives.

I would love to help others develop these skills and ultimately find their passions within filmmaking. My aim is to provide others with the skills they can build a real career with, and to inspire them to reach their higher potentials in the process!

Video production is not for everyone. If you have any questions or concerns at all, please reach out! I'm flexible and can cater to many different learning styles. As a matter of principle I view challenges as opportunities and encourage others to consider "failures" as real and powerful growth.
