I love helping future physicians reach their goals!

I have a proven track record as an excellent standardized test-taker, and I am a study enthusiast who would love to help others succeed, whether that be subject material, test preparation and test taking strategies, or general study skills. I graduated from the University of Colorado - Boulder a semester early, in December 2012. At CU, I majored in Psychology and additionally took Pre-med courses. In my time at University of Colorado I participated on the Women's Division 1 volleyball team, and continued as a student assistant coach after injury ended my playing career. I then worked for several years at a community hospital, before applying to medical school as a non-traditional applicant.

Caring and knowledgable

Ellen has been such a wonderful addition to my medical education over the past year. She knows how to explain complex clinical information relevant to my shelf exams in a way that is memorable and applicable to practice questions and on exam day. I have learned so much from her with regard to test-taking strategies, and how to dissect difficult NBME test questions methodically. I couldn't be more grateful for the time she has spent helping me gain confidence in my test-taking abilities and prepping me for each of my medical school rotations this year. Most importantly, Ellen has taken the time to get to know me and really care for me as a person, and I can't express how special that is in a tutor. Thank you Ellen!
