I am Monique the UNIQUE online reading tutor and I have worked with 100's of students with closing the reading gap. I have been a classroom teacher for over 10 years. I received my master's in childhood education (1st-6th grade).

As an Elementary school teacher, I remain dedicated and committed to my students. The teaching profession allows for me to provide meaningful service to my students, however, because of the pandemic, I noticed that many students are falling behind academically, especially in their reading abilities. Since the classroom environment is overcrowded and very demanding, many students are not able to receive the attention they need within the school day, so that they can recover the learning loss they experienced during the pandemic.

My customized, one-on-one, virtual lesson provide students the support they need to make academic gains, reach their goals, and gain confidence. Although I teach all subjects, reading has become one of my favorite topics to teach because When I was in third grade, I was a struggling reader. So now, as an educator it feels great to support struggling readers and give them a gift that will outlast me - the ability to read.

I provide online reading instruction to children struggling in reading. My unique strategies will provide the solutions needed for children to read, Independently, fluently, with Comprehension!
