I am a returned Peace Corps Education Volunteer and current Bioarchaeology Intern at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. I am from Colorado, and graduated from the University of Colorado with a double major in History and Anthropology, with a focus on archaeology. I graduated with distinction, and have worked on archaeological digs in Colorado, North Dakota, Nebraska, Belize and Mongolia. I recently scored a 169 on the GRE verbal section, placing me in the 99th percentile of test takers, and scored a 31 on the ACT during high school, placing me in the 95th percentile of ACT test takers.

I served in the Peace Corps as an english teacher in the Kingdom of Tonga, a small island nation in the South Pacific, where I taught at a primary school, trained teachers, and tutored local high school students five days a week.

I double-majored in History and Anthropology for my undergraduate degree, and wrote my senior honors thesis on the Barbary Wars, a naval war fought by the fledgling United States during the early 1800s.
