Laura has been a Spanish teacher for grades PK-8th as well as a high school Spanish tutor in the Chicago area for several years. Prior to moving to IL, she lived in Milwaukee, where she tutored Spanish privately as well as taught Spanish in school to grades 1-8. She has a degree in Linguistics and Spanish from Dartmouth College, and she loves sharing her passion for languages with her students. She has studied abroad in Mexico and has worked as a translator, teacher and tutor in the Dominican Republic. She has family in Puerto Rico, and she is currently raising her own children bilingually.

Laura has a passion for working with all ages to help her students grow in their confidence in Spanish. She strongly believes in the importance of teaching proper pronunciation to her students. She enjoys witnessing the growth of her students as they learn to express themselves confidently and clearly in Spanish.

Laura has years of experience teaching Spanish both in and out of the classroom. She has worked with kids as young as 3 and teaches adults as well. She works one-on-one and with small groups in a variety of settings. She is masterful at teaching pronunciation, and she loves grammar. She has a proven track record of helping her students increase their skills and confidence in speaking Spanish.
