About Elizabeth

Bio

I have been working with Children ages 11-18 since 2009. I have also written courses for Adult schools and Colleges in Oceanside, Huntington Beach and in Riverside County. It is my great joy and honor to work with students that love learning and some that just need a little push. It can be a dreaded subject that can be easily tackled with my help, or a little extra help with the studying process. I have been working with Children ages 11-18 since 2009. I have also written courses for Adult schools and Colleges in Oceanside, Huntington Beach and in Riverside County. It is my great joy and honor to work with students that love learning and some that just need a little push. It can be a dreaded subject that can be easily tackled with my help, or a little extra help with the studying process. I have devoted my time with students in various technical areas such as Elementary students with Math, English, Comprehension, Arts and Crafts, Lesson Plan Development and I have Psychology knowledge and have helped kids with ADD. For Highschoolers, Medical Administration, Project-based learning, Photoshop, Lightroom 5, and all Microsoft Office Programs.

I had an apprenticeship a few years ago and realized my love for teaching and encouraging students to be confident in their studies and work through any difficulties they might be having. Currently,I am a Teachers Aide and would know you/your child would be well-versed in the subject area after some time with my tutoring services.

I have spoken in front of college students for 5 years and kept their attention with my tone in the lectures. (This is my current teaching style.) I have won 1st place in a Dramatic Poetry Reading against 80 other contestants and even brought one of the judges to tears with my heartfelt story. I have taken 3 years of Speech classes for annunciation and performance appeal, to maintain relevance.

I have taught 1st through 12th graders for 3 years, on how to read better by sounding out every word each time and they began to excel in vocalizing as well as learning not to guess at the word and really understand why it sounds a certain way. By showing them that images are connected to words they start to love it because they say them everyday. I have had successful students for those 3 years teaching them to read. I absolutely loved showing them harder books and they never seemed stressed because I know how to to make it more enjoyable and easier. I started studying Hooked on Phonics for my younger students and implemented that into my teachings.
