I graduated from Portland State with a Masters in Education and Bachelors in History after a decade of classes across every subject. Whether tutoring for after school programs or teaching in a regular classroom I have found that creating unique content tailored for the student's goals, abilities, and interests best facilitates learning in any environment. Being able to bring meaningfulness to content, explore it more fully, and attach it to other important concepts is one of the most challenging and fulfilling things to me as a teacher.

Other than teaching I have a large amount of experience with other subjects and skills. I have large galleries of art and products, and teach others how to create art both physically and digitally as well as how to use the internet in order to market and sell products. Creating products and an online marketplace combines art and design with business and economics in order to better explore today's rapidly changing economic systems and possibly develop a working business.

Having taught Art History classes for years I am able to discuss many works of art across time and their impact upon the world in various ways. As an artist and social scientist I believe I bring unique views to art lessons and enjoy analyzing various themes with students as we explore what each piece meant to people who experienced the art back then, and how it effects us still today.

After years of teaching various Social Science classes I feel that I have a good grasp of both state standards and important content students require to succeed in social sciences. Before that, my BA in History included 8 years of full time classes as I explored every subject to create a better understanding of the world and our history. Currently, I strive to create lessons that allow students to learn in meaningful ways; be that useful media experiences, simulations, Socratic seminars, content creation, and more!
