Great tutor!

I am hesitant when it comes to meeting people on the internet; however I was in great need of a tutor. I sought a tutor to maintain my 3.8 G.P.A. I arrived at Milagros' home and she was pleasantly awaiting my presence with a smile on her face. I entered her home and she was extremely hospitable. I explained to her my average in Spanish was a C+ and I would like to improve my overall grade. She reviewed the material thoroughly and answered all of my questions. She spoke to me in Spanish perfectly and gave me ample time to respond. It was so kind of her to offer me a light snack. Kindness and knowledge is an important attribute in my opinion. I will definitely take more tutoring lessons with her. I took my final one week later and achieved a 105.0; and final grade "A". I actually received the total five points on my extra credit question! My next quest is to visit Spain next year! I will definitely be prepared to converse with the natives. Thank you so much Milagros! You are a great tutor with a wealth of knowledge.

I started lessons with Mila three years ago and had to stop abruptly. I'm happy to be back with Mila to pick up where we left off. You can appreciate that she is a teacher as well as a native speaker.

Milagros has a great way of teaching that works for me. We chat and I get to practice my vocal skills and also hear and try to understand her more. As I get to practice my vocal skills, she marks down my mistakes and we are able to go over them together. She’s very patient, knowledgeable, fun and kind. Highly recommend!

Experienced and knowledgeable tutor

Milagros was an excellent tutor! Her and I met in person, once each week for 2 hours. I wanted to find someone to help me with my Spanish before going away to Spain, and she helped me improve a lot within just a few weeks. She drastically enhanced my ability to learn and speak Spanish. Her technique or way of teaching was very effective, where we were constantly speaking Spanish and incorporating fun activities such as; listening to Spanish songs and translating them or naming characters from a tv show. Overall my experience was very pleasant and I plan to continue lessons in the future!

My daughter was very pleased with Milagros' teaching and felt she learnt a lot during the two meetings they had. Milagro has a great conversational style of teaching that makes the student immerse into the language and learn in a much more thorough manner. Unfortunately, the diastances between our houses and the rush hour traffic at the time of the lesson, is making it impossible to continue with the lessons. Since I can't change the time of the lesson, I will have to, regrettably, find someone closer to home.

As a native speaker, Mila not only instructed my son in the essentials but also educated him on the variety of cultures and dialects of the many Spanish speaking countries. My son enjoyed every lesson and looked forward to them, and he's 16! I highly recommend Mila, without reservation.

Great tutor! Worth the money!

I had a great experience working with Milagros improving my Spanish before I go to Oaxaca. I only wish I had more time to practice up before I go. I leave next week for a three week self study abroad in the south of Mexico. Milagros has a very good method of letting you speak and then pointing out your mistakes. She doesn't let much get by her. It can be very tedious to learn a new language and you need somebody to nitpick your mistakes and she does a great job at this. She has a very extensive background speaking Spanish since she is from Cadiz, Spain. We would meet for 1 to 3 hours a day and either just have a conversation and she would tell me my shortcoming. Or I would try to bring a short essay about a topic and have her tell me what I did wrong grammatically. She would also do exercises from a book where I had to listen to her and respond back accordingly. She is five stars all the way and I will probably taking a class or two after I return from Mexico.
