Hello students, I'm Kent K. I'm a recently retired high school chemistry teacher who, over a 25-year career, primarily taught Chem I, Chem I Honors, and Chem II (dual credit with a local community college). Hello students, I'm Kent K. I'm a recently retired high school chemistry teacher who, over a 25-year career, primarily taught Chem I, Chem I Honors, and Chem II (dual credit with a local community college). I also have some experience with teaching Physical Science, AP Chem, and Physics, although I hadn't taught those classes in awhile upon retiring in 2021.
My goal for each and every single one of my students was to teach them Chemistry in a way that they could enjoy, understand and retain, regardless of their ability level. I loved teaching, and I loved seeing students succeed at a level higher than they thought they could. My primary objective was to prepare my students for their next level of chemistry, whatever that might be, and I think I achieved that goal.
I tutored many students over the years, many of them whereby I wasn't even their primary teacher, from the middle school level all the way through introductory college classes. I still tutor my high school-aged grandchildren! I love working with people, young and old alike, and teach/serve with passion. I would love to be able to help you if you give me the opportunity. Thank you for considering me.
