Hi, I’m Delaney! I graduated with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science in Economics with concentrations in Legal Studies and Social Impact as well as minors in Sociology and Africana Studies. Throughout my time tutoring and as a student, I’ve learned that the best way to handle challenging subjects or topics that don’t peak your interest is to create learning/studying habits that do. With students, I find it important to tailor my teaching style to the way a student learns best (visual, auditory, reading/writing, etc.).
Over the course of 2 years during the pandemic, I worked/volunteered as a tutor for a variety of subjects — primarily high school level math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus) and history (world history and US history). I also have 2 years of experience as a writing coach for students applying to college.
As a tutor, I am passionate about giving students the opportunity to reach their full potential. Firsthand, I know how critical and transformative tutoring can be, and I aim to give that same experience to other students! I want to cater to the student’s needs as much as possible; therefore, I always welcome any suggestions or resources a student/parent can provide. I check my messages daily, so feel free to reach out and schedule a session!
