It would be great to work with you, to help improve language and writing skills in a fun, creative way. It's important to help students gain confidence by having a positive attitude and breaking down concepts so they can have small successes along the path. I am very organized and will follow up on lessons with comprehension quizzes and material review. I track students' progress and include "rewards" and incentives for them. Tutoring sessions should be serious in content, but relaxed and energetic in terms of approach.

I have many years of experience tutoring in language and literature. I'm currently a university professor and I taught high school. I have current K-12 certification. I love working with college students and high schoolers!!

I specialize in writing skills in English and Spanish. One of my favorite pastimes is reading and analyzing literature. I enjoy helping students both strengthen their writing skills and improve their vocabulary. I've worked with college students in composition and literature courses, and high school students with English assignments and test preparation. I have a Ph.D. in Latin American literature and I've taught English and Spanish to high school and college students. I can help with basic writing and reading skills, or with more complicated and specific guidance with writing assignments, editing, and style guide formatting.
