Writer well wersed in English Literature, English History, and Arts

I am a writer and historian. My mother, who was a journalist/novelist/author of children's books, always proofread my papers, making corrections and notes -- so I grew up being edited. theatre

Theatre is the world that I inhabit. I have been a lyricist, a publicist, and a producer of small shows in New York, London, Edinburgh, Minneapolis and San Francisco. I've worked in the PR departments of major repertory theatres, as well as representing shows off Broadway and in cabaret venues. I have a Master's Degree in English History and Theatre History, and I have worked in promoting the arts for decades. I have seen many, many shows on Broadway, in the West End, in regional theatres, and on the Fringe, including a number of outstanding dramas and musicals from recent decades. Chances are I personally knew some of the actors, musicians and other artists who created these shows! My former romantic counterpart is a Broadway conductor, and I have a letter of reference from Sir Tim Rice, British lyricist of many musicals including Evita and The Lion King. It's safe to say that I have a great love for, and working knowledge of theatre, with a particular passion for musicals. I've spent my professional life working on behalf of theatre, and I can discuss many elements of it with expertise and great enthusiasm.
