I am a native Chinese Mandarin speaker, reader and writer. I was born, raised and educated in Taiwan but have lived in US for almost 30 years. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a Computer Science degree. Linda is a fantastic tutor. She is patient, kind and quietly spoken, yet challenging and hardworking at the same time. She has been tutoring my 9 year old with her 4th grade Math. My daughter was finding Math very difficult and overwhelming and within just a few sessions with Linda she is already more confident and feeling like she is much more capable. She even said 'that was fun Mum!' after a lesson- which I never thought I would hear from her after a Math class!! Linda has started math tutoring for my then 6th grader around February 2015 and under Linda's guidance she has come a long way. We had moved from Australia and my daughter had missed out on half a year of math as she moved forward into grade 6 immediately. In the second semester she was struggling as some of the basic math concepts were missing. Linda did a great job in bringing her up to speed. She has become much more confident and has caught up with her math. My other daughter had asked me if she could get tutoring from Linda in a certain area. Since then she is now mastering the area and is progressing well in her advanced math class. Linda is great tutor. Very patient with constant encouragement for the student she is teaching.
