For some background on myself; I have attended New Mexico Tech, Santa Barbara city College, Villanova Prep, and Ventura College. I have probably had six or more full time Math professors through my college career. Tom M. was able to portray Mathematics to me in a way in which I finally feel I am confident in my skills. Tom is Patient, Helpful, Observant, Caring, and Kind. His understanding of Math goes beyond recitations of formulas and basics. Tom knows Math, and Is able to explain HOW and WHY things are the way they are so that I could grasp a deeper and more universal understanding of concepts and questions. Honestly I have always dreaded Math and for the first time in my life I looked forwards to working on Math because I knew that Tom would be there for me.
