I have a master's degree in Special Education. The study of special education covers a variety of mental challenges, mental defects, syndromes and mental developmental disorders. ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder) presents with inattention, impulsive and hyperactivity that affects functioning, learning and development. A typical special needs or DES class serves children with ADD, and other special needs areas. The teacher should find creative solutions and capitalize on strengths, behavior modification, exercise, and support. I have served this population of students for 22 years with success.
