Jason

Experienced Tutor in Math, Science, & Electrical Engineering

I have considerable experience effectively tutoring students of various ages in a variety of science and mathematics topics. I possess a proven track-record, tutoring students both in-person and online. In addition to my private tutoring experience, I also have experience tutoring at the local community college. I enjoy the one-on-one dynamic and interactive nature of private tutoring. I feel immensely gratified by the academic stimulation as well as the reward of seeing my efforts positively...

Math is the foundation for science which is my real passion. I have a talent for explaining difficult or complicated concepts in straightforward and easy to understand ways. I have an elementary school aged child, so I have experience relating to this age group. I believe math should be fun and is best learned if it is applied to things the student can relate to in their everyday experience.

elementary science

I have a deep love of science and a unique ability to explain difficult concepts in ways that are easy to understand. I have fun with science and I still have an elementary school aged child of my own, so I have experience communicating with children in that age group. I believe elementary school is where the foundations of curiosity and critical thinking can be laid that will pay off when the student is in middle school, high-school, and college. I want to spread my contagious passion for science to as many at possible!

Jason was awesome!! Very smart and knowledgeable in electrical engineering material. Easy to understand and explains things in detail. He also looks over the student study material beforehand to prepare for the lesson, so no time is wasted. 5 stars!!

Shelby W. from Naples, FL

Jason is genuine, articulate and easy to understand. He helped me gain a clear grasp of what I needed to know.

Jason was willing to meet with us, prior to making a tutorial commitment, in order to meet one another and discuss goals and strategies. We found it to be very helpful to have this time to clarify needs and to speak frankly with him about our expectations for our son. We agreed to have weekly meetings to touch base and evaluate progress to assist both parties with communication and feeling we are on the right track. Jason was pleasant, sincere, and seems dedicated to truly helping his students understand and move forward with concepts.

My son had his first, trial session with Jason this week, and it was exactly what we'd hoped for. My son said that Jason was very clear and helpful, and I was impressed with Jason's interpersonal skills. He is an expert in math, but he also knows how to communicate effectively. We've signed up for a regular, weekly lesson.

Jason worked hard explaining an electrical circuit and why the Laplace transform worked so well with the sort of de equations that arise in electrical circuits. As I was writing a beginner's book on differential equations and only had a math background and not a science or engineering background, Jason worked hard to teach me the vocabulary that I did not know as well as correct some of the text in the draft of a book that I sent him. I really appreciated that!

Jason helps my daughter understand the concepts and how to solve physics problems. He has been instrumental in preparing her for physics exams both last semester and this semester.
