Hi there, My name is Jason, and I have been a math tutor for nearly 20 years. It seems that math is generally taught as if it were a language, and thus requires immersion. That is, teaching math with math. This may work if you are learning French or Spanish, but not math. Math needs to be taught for what it is - a system. Much like music.
