I'm only just starting off with the first several Online Italian lessons with Carlo, but I am very very satisfied with his teaching methods, patience, knowledge, and the overall lessons. I had tried several other tutors who either weren't knowledgeable enough about the language or who weren't paying attention to my pace, and therefore I felt like I was paying for lessons covering topics I already knew, which was wasteful. I have not felt at ALL that any time with Carlo has been wasted. If he sees I need practice on a subject, we practice, or he gives me exercises I can do on my own so that we don't waste valuable lesson time being redundant. If he notices I am already comfortable with a topic, he will test me just to be sure, and then move on so that I am always covering new information (but not being overwhelmed - he always asks to make sure I am comfortable with the topics and following his explanations). He also puts real-life situations into perspective for me so I know how to properly use the language as native Italians would. I look forward to the next lesson after we finish each one, and I enjoy the lessons very much. I highly recommend contacting Carlo if you are looking for a tutor.

Carlo, in addition to being patient, has adapted the book and amount of material to meet my level of speaking and understanding Italian. It has been so helpful to skip what I know and learn new things. He's flexible and knows that I will be in Sicily in two months and must get passable Italian, not perfect Italian. I hope to take up with the lessons again when I return. Update: Again, Carlo is tailoring as we go along when he realizes what I know and don't know during each lesson. We have had 4 sessions with Carlo and feel like we have learned a lot about the Italian language. Actually using the language will take much more practice and experience! He teaches us at a good pace and is very flexible with his schedule to accommodate our schedules which sometimes requires adjustment for work reasons. He changes up the exercises to get us to keep thinking and learning. He is also good with immediate feedback on pronunciations of the words.
