French

Having grown up in Belgium and France speaking French with half my family and half my co-workers, and having taken French from elementary school to college, I am ready to help you with your French lessons. Grammar, vocabulary, spelling, fluency. Such a beautiful language, n'est-ce pas?

Spanish

I have an undergraduate degree in translation English and Spanish, and some of my current (non-tutoring) work requires me to use written and spoken Spanish on a daily basis. I am well-versed with vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. I explain everything simply and effectively so it will stick. Spanish is not my native language, so I have a good understanding of the difficulties that may be encountered by other non-native speakers. My other languages are English, Dutch, French and I have passive knowledge of a few more; I can relate Spanish to your own language.

Tina took a personal interest in my daughter and helped her to set realistic goals that motivated her to do her very best. Tina also has many great qualities that make her a great tutor. She has patience, is reliable, punctual, dedicated and responsible. She is very knowledgeable and was able to bring out the best from my child to master her biology class. Indeed, Tina is a great asset to your company.

I'm really happy with my tutor Tina! I was so depressed with my scores in French and Biology and everything changed. I'm feeling more confident and happy to see my scores go up. Thank you Tina for your help and patience!

Marla S. from New York, NY

Tina is dedicated to helping her students succeed. My daughter's grades in honors biology are higher than ever imagined. We owe it to her hard work, which never would have resulted in such success, if it were not for the strategic guidance and support she receives from Tina.

Stephanie L. from New York, NY

Tina has been very helpful and patient with my ninth grade son. She has helped him organize his homework and understand Biology. She is very thorough and does a great job of explaining the subject.

Lai-Ting T. from Bronx, NY

Thanks Tina for a great lesson. I feel much more comfortable with the material and am ready for the exam!

Sourav D. from Franklin Lakes, NJ

Tina always comes prepared with lesson plans, yet is flexible in her strategy depending on my needs or questions for the session. She is very patient and is always willing to re-explain subjects that I find complex or confusing. She has made an effort to best address my specific style of learning which comes from more of an engineering/kinesthetic background. The homework she gives me always helps me understand the concepts of the material, and the way she asks me to do them (such as grids and comparison charts) act as good references when facing more complex ideas, as I can refer back to them. No matter what the subject is, she is always able to give great analogies or real world examples that allow me to conceptualize the specifics of a topic. I also love the fact she will engage in my tangential questions and provide me with background information about the material, as long as it does not stray too far from what we are focusing on. I can confidently say Tina has been the most helpful tutor I have ever had, and may even go as far to say that she is the best teacher I have had the pleasure of learning from.

Tine was able to show me how to do both two and three point recombinations, how to compare and find the middle gene and how to make a gene map after. We also went over how to read a complementation chart in order to determine how to restore a wildtype.

Tine responded right away and worked above and beyond to help my son with his Biology. She was patient and extremely knowledgable. Most of all she helped him gain back some confidence in Biology again. Would highly recommend!
