Denise is awesome at effectively communicating applied math concepts to my daughter. She has had many tutors but none compare to Denise. She explains every step thoroughly and doesn't move on unless the math is fully understood. I highly recommend her! A few months have passed since I left my last review and Denise just gets better and better at rising to any level of tutoring my daughter needs! My daughter wanted to apply the math she and Denise were going over to what she had learned in her bioscience classes pertaining specifically to lab work. Denise took her books and studied them and then next time they met, Denise was fully prepared to help her. We hired Denise about 1 month ago when our son had a C grade for the year, and a D grade for the semester in Algebra 1. After 5 sessions, he was one of only 2 students in his class to get an A on his quiz which meant he got an automatic A on the test and did not have to take the test. I strongly recommend Denise as a tutor, especially for school age children.
