We highly recommend Cris to any prospective students. She quickly focused in on what the study skill issues were with our son and developed strategies to help in class. Cris is very cognizant of the time and wastes none of it with idle chitchat or anything other than the task at hand. Our son is very comfortable with Cris; she put him right at ease. Cris is very professional and seems to take a genuine interest in the student's progress. ***UPDATE*** We have a great update ... Since Cris has been tutoring our son his grade average has risen from c/b to a/b. He is more organized and CLEARLY has begun implementing the skills and strategies that Cris has taught him. His binder and notebooks which previously looked like a bomb hit it are now very nicely kept and organized. We see him using these strategies in his homework. Cris has taken it upon herself to acquire specific study guide materials directly related to his areas of need and has reviewed his progress reports from school and made recommendations for us to bring forth to his teachers. Nothing like getting a student advocate AND a tutor in one! Cris was able to translate the reports and direct us to the important areas where our son needed different accommodations. These actions have also yielded great results. Our son really enjoys his lessons with Cris, too. She is a genuinely caring and kind person along with clearly taking a personal interest in his progress. She has a definite passion for this work. We could not be more satisfied with Cris.
