Gail

Patient, Orton Gillingham trained, Reading Tutor

I have graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. My major was Elementary Ed. with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. Recently, I have taught Kindergarten for 3 years. I have worked as a reading assistant at an elementary school in Bensalem. Also, I have worked in several day care centers as a lead teacher. From all of this experience, I have found that reading/phonics plays an important role in learning. I love working with children, love to see their exciteme...

Gail was very organized and professional. She quickly began her session by making my daugther very comfortable. She was able to access my daughter's weakness and layout a great plan to improve them. She made the learning fun and interesting for her, and even ended the session with a game. I will recommend her for any child that needs to "pay more attention" to their work. After the first session my daughter ( who never really liked school work) asked, " when will that nice, fun, and smart teacher come back". In fact, she even did her homework immediately after Gail left. We are lucky to find such an dedicated educator.

I give Gail high marks in patience and planning. My little guy is a handful with not a lot of love for schooling. She shows up with her bag stuffed full of fun plans to help him learn and is extremely patient but persistent when he tries every trick he knows to get out of doing things. I've seen a definite improvement in his skill set. Those first few classes don't seem like much, but then it starts to snowball and you can see the difference. Gail is great and I'd recommend her to anyone.

Gail is working with my 5 year old son to help him learn to read and write. Every week Gail has a new lesson that is creative and engaging. The lesson usually has information presented orally (reading a book or other), visually (identifying words / letters) and physically (coloring or word search activities.) My son looks forward to his lessons and loves to tell his Dad about them when he gets home from work. Gail always leaves a book for him to read between lessons which we read every night, keeping him engaged between sessions.

My daughter has been meeting with Gail for several months now. Her reading and spelling grades went from 'unsatisfactory' to 'outstanding' in one semester. My daughter is a very sensitive child, needing a lot of patience and encouragement. Gail's kind nature and patience has created a tutoring environment that my daughter looks forward to every week.

Gail teaches my son 3 times a week. She is always well prepared for each lesson. My son loves her!

Miss Gail was a very nice lady and was very patient with my grandson at most lessons. Not sure why she quit in the middle of teaching him outside, she said he was disrespectful. I spoke to her on Tuesday and we were supposed to solve the problem on Thursday but instead she text me to tell me that she no longer wanted to teach him. He is only 5 years old and I don't think that any adult would or could be that offended by a 5 year old. I will be requesting a refund on the balance of our payment. Thank You!

My son has difficulty focusing on a daily basis but Gail is able to get him back on track and she knows when he's ready to stop. Very patient.

Gail is very detailed oriented and comes well prepared with material that fits my son's style of learning. She has great depth in knowledge and very patient with my 7 yr old. I would highly recommend her to any parent who wants to help their child succeed in reading/writing.
