Sam

Passionate Industrial/Organizational Psychology Student

I have a strong interest in psychology and how it translates into business and therapeutic environments. I started my undergraduate education as a Neuroscience major at the University of Pittsburgh, and I transferred into the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at Middle Tennessee State University. I will be finishing my degree online, and I currently have a 3.8 GPA. I teach the concepts of psychology and economics by finding ways to connect academic concepts into real-life situations. My most effective study techniques are: learning how to anticipate exam questions and answer them verbally, and creating organized flash cards and notes. I assist students in figuring out what type of learners they are, and I tailor their study techniques appropriately. I feel comfortable tutoring for the following classes: Intro to Psychology, Personality Psychology, Social Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Psychology (Upper Level), Behavioral Modification, Psychology of Family Relations, Intro to Cognitive Psychology, Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Public Speaking.
