I am well versed in teaching methodologies and am able to design a style best-suited to the individual student's needs to help him/her learn most easily. I am a 43 year-old male with Asperger's. I have developed a remarkable set of coping skills during my lifetime that I have put to use in the attainment of multiple college degrees, the founding and ownership of a successful business for close to 20 years, and the development of a variety of coping mechanisms for my two children, both of whom have Asperger's. I have also assisted neurotypicals with their understanding and awareness of those of us with Asperger's through my work with such groups as Focus and the MHA. I may not have an advanced degree in Special Education or Psychology; however, my life experience having lived with Asperger's for 43 years--only having been diagnosed properly a year ago--stands testament to my ability to help others with their achievement of understanding and attainment of goals.
