I was born in Havana, Cuba and came to the United States when I was two. I had the privilege to have my grandparents live with my family which forced my sisters and me to practice Spanish at home. I attended Ursuline Academy where I took four years of advanced Spanish and minored in Spanish while attending SMU in Dallas.
