I have tutored students for Algebra 2 for more than two academic years. I focus my tutoring sessions on helping students develop mathematical thinking patterns and problem-solving skills. Chetan worked with me to understand the concepts of Statistics. I plan to use statistics in my field as soon as I graduate. Chetan not only knows the subject of statistics, he comes to the tutoring session prepared for that particular lesson. He and I used google.docs so that we could literally be on the same page together while working with him in California and me in Texas. He also uses Skype and the telephone to facilitate his lessons. I get my money's worth due to Chetan's ability in efficiency. We keep in contact to schedule our meeting time, we both know what the particular assignment will be covering, and he tutors me on a particular concept by modeling and then he checks to make sure that I can do the remaining problems by watching me complete one or two problems. He then has me finish them outside of tutoring time to maximize our time. He then follows up with any issues that I may have and then we move on to the next assignment. I am 54 years old and I appreciate the polite manner in which Chetan tutors me. There is never a time that I feel he is distracted or my question is "dumb". He is even able to understand my "Texas Drawl" without missing a beat. I am a former teacher and have mentored many upcoming teachers.
