Andrew

A tutor with a Midas touch

My first encounter with tutoring was as an undergraduate student. I tutored my fellow classmates and others outside the university. Since then, I have enjoyed tutoring and love to see a student do well with my help. I value education and know that the future of this country, or any country, is in a well educated population. When I take a tutoring assignment I know I am helping shape the future of a young man or woman. I see this as a high calling. And, I make a promise, 100 percent satisfacti...

Ever since the very beginning of the semester when I started to use Andrew as a tutor, he has helped me out so much with my engineering economy course. This was my first time taking an economy course and the terms that were used in lecture were really hard to understand. Ever since I met Andrew, he made the course easier and more entertaining than I thought it would be. For example, I had to do a project that required me to use Microsoft Excel. Before I had met Andrew, I had never ever used Excel in anything and I was terrified of this project. But since Andrew introduced me to Excel, I have been using it to keep up with my own finances and other stuff just for fun. What I really liked about Andrew as a tutor is that he is also extremely patient when it came down to something that I didn't understand. We would go over a topic over and over again to make sure, before the session was done for the day, that I understood what we talked about. He is awesome when it comes down to communication via phone or email. I also like that he always wants to be prepared for what we are going to be doing before the session rather than get there and figure out then what to do. He'll always ask for the textbook in advance to make sure that you are going over the same material as he is, and the syllabus to make sure that if there is anything that you can get ahead on in the class, it was possible. Overall, my tutoring experience with Andrew has been amazing and if I have anything else that I would need help with, I know who to contact. I would highly recommend this tutor to anyone who needs help with engineering economy.

He helped tutor me for the SATs. My weakest spot is one of the hardest ones to improve in which is critical reading. However, as our tutoring goes on, I am starting to see improvements.
