Michael is an excellent tutor. This is because of his strong ability to clearly explain difficult topics. He primarily tutors me in Calculus. Since the fourth grade, my favorite subject has been math and Calculus was the first math course I've ever struggled with. This changed, however, when I started receiving lessons from Michael. He taught me to think with a different creative problem-solving mindset essential for Calculus, In math courses such as Algebra II, I was used to simply memorizing known patterns of problem-solving instead of coming up with my own patterns. This is crucial when dealing with advanced math, and I am very grateful that he instilled this mindset in me. It will be a tremendous help in college. My son was having a very difficult time in HS geometry. He tried attending every tutoring session and help session his teacher had time for. Understanding the teacher/student ratio, I knew my son needed one on one help. He was just not learning the material, and needed one on one help. From the beginning Michael was willing to help. He took the time to figure out where the disconnect was. He took the time to explain test taking skills, and explained preparation for tests as well as test techniques. Michael never treated my son as if he was the problem. He guided him, and slowly began to adapt to his learning style. With high school kids being overwhelmed with sports, lack of sleep, anxiety, and deadlines, having a personal tutor has helped take the stress off my son. Michael is very flexible and often times can see us with short notice. He is also flexible with tutoring time. If my son needs extra help, he is willing to stay an extra hour. What is very helpful also is the session review. I receive an email from Michael explaining what was covered in the session, and what was covered. I highly recommend him.

I contacted Michael to help prepare for the GRE in order to apply to a Physician Assistant program.
