autism

I currently teach in an elementary self-contained special education classroom. Many of my students are diagnosed with autism. Many of these students need help with social and study skills and some academic help, particularly in the areas of reading, writing, and math.

I currently teach in an elementary self-contained special education classroom. Students in this classroom include those diagnosed with OHI (ADD/ADHD among other diagnosis), autism, emotional disability, learning disability, and developmental delays. I have been able to move many of my students from a full self-contained setting into a part-time inclusion and in some cases full-inclusion.
