ADD/ADHD

In addition to my Learning Disability research focus on Dyslexia at Western Washington University, I have extensive experience working with students with ADHD. The reason I have acquired this knowledge and experience is because ADHD is highly co-morbid with Reading Disability (dyslexia), and other language disabilities. In fact, children with language disabilities are often misdiagnosed with ADHD as a root disability, when it is secondary to their language disability.

Ryan M. is an incredible tutor. My only regret is that I didn't find him earlier because he has made such a difference in my schoolwork. My grade point average has gone up dramatically since I started working with him. He is patient, friendly, explains things in a way that I understand, gives me lots of great tips on focusing and staying organized, and he is just an all around great guy. I recommend him for anyone who wants their grades to improve. He has reduced a lot of stress for me this year by helping me stay on top of my grades, and I have a lot more confidence as well as knowledge. An A-plus tutor with an A-plus personality!

My son is a learning disabled young adult who has dreams and aspirations that he will not give up on. Before, during, and after starting sessions with my son, Ryan did his research on the particular disability and on my son's career choice. Ryan works patiently with him and helps him understand concepts and reading and offers suggestions that my son can do on his own time. My son has had a couple of tutors when he was in school but he always felt they weren't there to actually help explain difficult educational areas and he felt he was treated as though different and at times stupid. Ryan tutors with respect and continues to come up with new ideas and concepts to help my son break those barriers that have escaped him understanding things in the past. I find Ryan very conscientious, diligent, resourceful, timely with lessons and feedback. Ryan is an excellent role model and I would recommend him whole-heartedly.

I feel extremely lucky to have found someone like Ryan to tutor my son. Ryan is not just a good teacher, he goes above and beyond to find out what learning style works best for the student. He is always on time and always gives 100 percent.
