My daughter was only able to squeeze in one short session, still her ACT score improved. He provided several great hints on how to attack the reading portion of the test and tricks to help get through the test questions a little quicker. He was accommodating when my daughter suffered a bad migraine and was more that willing to work through scheduling bumps.

Mr. N canceled and missed several sessions, the final straw was on a Sunday when he was supposed to be at our house for a 330 session and texted us at 315 to say he wasn't feeling well. We had 2 written assignments prepared for his review. This was beyond disappointing. Definitely didn't receive the performance or professionalism advertised. Disappointed.

Eric zeroed in on my son's weak and strong areas and developed a focused review plan -- this resulted in an 4 points increase in his overall score on the second ACT test! He established a great rapport with my 17 year old son and also kept me informed of his progress via email. Eric's expert knowledge of the ACT was very evident and this really gave my son the confidence he needed. WE BOTH HIGHLY RECOMMEND ERIC AS A TUTOR!

I just loved my tutoring time with Eric! He was patient, understanding of my needs, flexible with my time schedule, very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Eric! By the way I aced my test!!

My daughter took the ACT for the first time in January. Like alot of kids, she has a full load of AP classes and is very involved with extra curricular activities, so not alot of "free" time, always busy with something. She took the ACT with no prep or practice at all to see how she would do. She was disappointed with her score, and thought about taking one of those courses (every Sat. for 4-5 weeks where you keep taking practice tests), but these kids get such little downtime as it is, neither of us thought adding test taking every Saturday for 5 weeks was the best way to go, so I just started researching tutors on line. By the time we decided to try a tutor, research one, and try to work out a schedule before leaving for a preplanned vacation, she only had about 2 1/2 weeks to work with Eric, which was about 3 (2 hour sessions)and practice assignments in between. What we liked about Eric in researching tutors was that he had "first hand experience" in recent years taking tests like the ACT, SAT, LSAT, plus he was proactive with his tutoring profile in making sure he already passed the background check with Wyzant, versus requiring additional time for a client to have to research that too. During the tutoring sessions, Eric was always prompt, made my daughter feel relaxed with his funny analogies and quick wit, stayed on task, and had good assessment skills and feedback. He is very knowledgeable and offered many helpful, and simple test taking strategies. He also asked questions, and listened very well to my daughter explain what she felt were her needs and the areas she wanted to focus on most. Eric gave her more confidence in a very short period of time before the next ACT test in April!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND ERIC NESS as a tutor, and the more time your student can put into practicing sample problems and practice tests, (just like practicing anything else if you want to improve, whether it be sports, music, academics, etc.), the more confident they will feel.

Eric knew so many things about the test itself that I easily improved a few points just by using his techniques and practicing. He also has very great scores on many standardized tests and would recommend him to anyone else needing help.
