A Colorado-native, I attended Colorado College and majored in philosophy. After college, I worked briefly for Senator Michael Bennett (CO) before joining Teach For America in 2010. For my first two years of teaching, I taught high school science (astronomy, earth science, biology) before moving to New York City to help start a charter school in Harlem.
