I have worked with children with Asperger's and high functioning autism in the past. Since the area is so specialized and requires either a certified clinician or someone with a great deal of experience and awareness, I believe I do have that experience. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling and I have over two hundred hours of experience using Play Therapy for children with AS & HFA. My experience is with children 8 years and older and have utilized art therapy and cognitive behavior therapy. I believe using a tactile approach along with a white board and a basic textbook/study manual hel Read more

Adaptable and Experienced Math and Science Tutor With EMS Background
I am a student at UTD studying neuroscience and am currently working as an EMT. Throughout my educational career, I have seen that the classes that I do well in are not necessarily my best subjects, but rather with a teacher/professor that engages the students. They would be very flexible in their teaching styles and would adapt as much as possible to fit every student’s needs. In my tutoring approach, I put a major emphasis on mastery of the topic so the student can handle any problem thrown... Read more

Former Teacher Specializing in SAT Prep
While working for The Tutoring Club of Hilliard, I tutored seven high school and college students in calculus one. I was able to help all seven of my students either maintain or raise their grades. I have no experience tutoring students in calculus two or calculus three. The highest mathematics course I have ever taken is calculus three, which is extremely similar to calculus one; it simply adds a third dimension. In my opinion, calculus two is harder than both calculus one and three. I took AP calculus in high school and scored a 3 out of 5 on the calculus BC test and a 5 out of 5 on the c Read more

Hi there! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I got my start tutoring with Kaplan teaching the MCAT in Athens. From there I moved to Atlanta and joined the Princeton Review and C2 Education teams, where I taught MCAT as well as SAT and ACT prep courses. What this means for you is that if you want a traditional experience, starting with an assessment, followed by a detailed plan, and subsequent periodic reassessments, I can deliver. However, that type of rigid process is not for everyone.... Read more
