Experienced and Patient Tutor in Mathematics and Physics
I took the ACT in high school, and I'm aware of its challenges. Since taking the test, I've learned considerably more mathematics, and have needed to use the skills and concepts that the ACT tests in order to be successful. Not only that, but I've also tutored many mathematics students, many of whom were struggling not so much with higher college-level mathematics, but rather with the sort of math skills and concepts that are tested on the ACT. Experienced in H.S. Sciences and College 101/201 level Sciences
As a successful tutor I analyze each student's needs and try to determine where they have run into trouble in their particular course. Sometimes I start from the beginning to make sure that they have not misunderstood any of the early material. Without a solid foundation one cannot proceed. For other students I can take them from the point at which they ran into problems and assist in them in moving beyond that point. My Bachelor's degree was conferred by SUNY Oswego and my Master... Having trouble with math? I'll sum it up for you!
I took the SAT in 10th grade and received an overall score of a 1400. Of that 1400, 780 points came from the math section alone. Of a section that has a maximum possible points of 800, it would be difficult yet I believe possible for me to improve on that score. At the time of taking the test I had yet to fully master, as I have now, the more difficult geometry questions. Read more
