I have tutored from the middle school level to the college level. This past year I tutored a 13 year old boy in algebra. He went from getting a 50 on a test to a 100 on a test. He was an athlete, who just dd not like math, and rushed though the problems to get it over with. I related the problems to his sports interest, and found ways for him to retain the information.
