Thanks for taking time to read my profile! I have been teaching a combination of Spanish and ESL(English as a Second Language) for 12 years. I am a National Board Certified Teacher with 7 years of experience teaching high school Spanish (levels I-IV) and 5 years of teaching ESL. While I've taught honor level classes, I've found my greatest strength is working with students who struggle or who need extra practice. I use a handful of effective scaffolding strategies to make content comprehensi... Read more

Friendly, passionate and ready to help you learn!
Hello! My name is Sascha and I look forward to meeting you and/or your student. I have multiple years of experience tutoring. My favorite teaching strategy is to incorporate students' favorite activities in my tutoring lessons because I believe the best way to teach material is to help students develop their own interest in the subject matter. You're much more likely to actively participate in the lessons if you're having fun! In this way, I will use material that is relevant to current e... Read more

I have a BS in "Computer Software" (meaning programming rather than hardware design). Most of my work for the BS was actually done at the Graduate level, which makes me eligible to teach CompSci at the college level according to most accrediting organizations. I have, in fact done so at five different colleges. Pascal was the language of choice when I was learning to program, so I had to learn it, and used it for many years until I switched to C++ and Java. It is a much better language than C for basic programming training, but lacks a standardized object oriented implementation. Read more
